Tip Tap Toe & Groovy Moves
Tip Tap Toe & Groovy Moves is a combined modern and tap syllabus for pre-school children aged 2 to 4 years. The class plan is a journey on Melody Bear’s Fun Bus stopping at the Games, Number and Musical stop. The final stop is Melody Bear’s Tip Tap Toe stop for lots of fun tap dance ideas including the ‘Boogie Woogie Bend and Bounce’, ‘Magic Shoes’, ‘Disco Bears’, ‘Hawaiian Tap’, ‘Melody Bear’s Cheerleading Song’ and her ‘Line Dancing’ to name afew.
Rhythm and tempo, beats and sounds are explored in fun creative exercises in our early years tap dancing syllabus.
Melody Movement introduces children to dance and movement using the natural actions of the body such as running, walking, jumping, hopping, skipping and galloping. It is structured to aid children’s physical development, coordination, spatial awareness, sensory development, creativity and self-expression, working individually, with a partner, or as a group.
Melody Movement also introduces children to other fundamental curriculum learning skills such as counting, colour and shape recognition, vocabulary and language skills. The strength of the system is that learning is achieved through imaginative movement which is enjoyable and fun. Melody Movement provides every child with the opportunity to discover and fulfil their own potential whilst nurturing creative development.
Classical ballet is the foundation of all dance styles, with the focus being on technique, enabling dancers to perform this style of dance with style, control, agility and poise.
At Danceforce we follow the IDTA ballet syllabus from Preparatory upwards allowing students to progress through the ballet grades and gain knowledge of more advanced steps and improve their technique as they progress.
We introduce pointe work classes from Grade 3 upwards for students who are ready to progress onto Pointe.
Modern Dance offers dancers at Danceforce a chance to explore their creativity and imagination through movement. It also enables them to build their strength through floor work, jumps, to partnering and improvisation. This class also enables dancers to improve their flexibility.
Tap dancing uses the feet in a rhythmical way to perform steps and routines. Tap shoes are required for this class.Danceforce follows the IDTA syllabus for Tap, and the students can take their tap exams from preparatory upwards.
Contemporary dance is an exciting fusion of lyrical jazz, ballet and modern dance. It encourages the dancer to express their emotions through movement and develop their creativity.partnering and improvisation. This class also enables dancers to improve their flexibility.
Street Dance is a high energy class learning ‘funky’ hip hop and commercial moves to create routines to the latest chart music. At Danceforce we have Street dance competition teams which the students can audition for, where they enter nationwide street dance competitions.
Acrobatic Arts is a well-developed programme based on safe and effective progressions with proven results in five divisions of acro dance; Flexibility, Strengthening, Tumbling, Balancing and Limbering. Simple thoughtful progressions take the beginner pre-school dancer from log rolls and cartwheels to the advanced dancer tumbling effortlessly across the stage.
Professional Dance Technique
This invitation only class is for dancers who wish to develop their technique further with an intensive classical based class for the juniors and modern based class for the seniors.Dancers who attend this class will also have the opportunity to compete in annual festivals and competitions.
A class full of singing, dancing and acting! This class gives the students the opportunity to explore songs from musicals and to develop their confidence and performance skills on and off stage!
